Best Memory at Reunion

I loved seeing everyone and reconnecting with folks who I haven't spoke with in so long. The weekend went too fast!  I am all for doing it again ;-)  I guess a moment that sticks out in my mind is the first night.
I loved being one of the first ones at the Black Duck...perched on a chair with Anne Kallish, Rachel Mayer, Jean Mason and Dan Gelman...we were able to see who was coming in and experience all the anticipation of the weekend!
I am still thinking about it 2 weeks later!!  Looking forward to seeing all the pictures.

While Dan was performing his speech I was standing snugly between Lia Oprea and Beth Gordon. When my name was mentioned I was in heaven to be seen in that sandwich! Everything else was a blur!
Perhaps the best time I've had with friends in a long time and the connection with everyone is something that just does not happen much later in life. I'm very lucky.

Hard to write  one favorite moment you know.  The entire weekend for me, had such a joyful vibe that when you add it all up, totals one great memory!   Like everyone, I'm sure, I connected with some incredible friends that I allowed life and time to take away.  Let's get it back guys.  Looking forward to the future and sharing it with you!

Besides all the shared stories and laughing during the planning meetings, my favorite memory was Saturday night, seeing all the smiles on everyones face and knowing that we did it right for our 30th!!!

There is no way to capture one single BEST memory from this past weekend.  Suffice it to say... last weekend was one of the most enjoyable times I can remember having since... well... since high school!!  It was SO great to see everyone in our fabulous class.  I loved reconnecting, and laughing the whole weekend with my old gang of friends, and it was also completely fun getting reconnected with other 79ers that I didn't necessarily hang with at Staples.

Thank you to all of you on the Committee for putting so much time and effort into making our 30th so memorable!

Hey 79'ers. I had such a great time at Reunion! Not  sure why I waited 30 years to come back home. I guess that is what happens when your parents sell the house after you leave for college!

Everyone was so warm and welcoming to each other. Not sure why high school couldn't have been like that but kids will be kids. For the most part everyone looked the same, but I was glad for the picture name badges! Loved my feathered hair back then. Long live the Farrah look!

It was so nice that everyone travelled from so many places to be there. It really showed how our class has a lot of spirit. Everyone on the organizing committee did a great job.

If anyone comes up to the West Hartford area, please drop me a line. I also hope to get my butt down to Westport more often and not wait another  30 years!

This reunion was 100x better than 20th!  You guys can sure plan a party!  The Duck, Shorehaven and then Compo – I’m still recovering!  We are one fun group!  Hope we can do it again in 5 years – 10 may be to long!  Besides seeing my core group of friends from Staples, it was really fun to see all the people who I literally grew up – Coleytown-Coleytown-Staples!  All night I had the most random memories of childhood and just the wonderful experiences and times I had  - being lucky enough to grow up in Westport and to do it with the Class of 79!  Cheers everyone!

I just couldn't believe how great everyone looked and how mellow we all were. Well...I did see Rob MacCloy at SPLASH on Sunday evening about 6:00 pm still rockin', still drinkin' and still wearing his Reunion Name Badge! Rob, yer the best!

Some guy said to me, "I don't remember you from HS, but can I get my picture with you so I can show it to my girlfriend to say we dated back in the day?" Then he proceeded to manipulate the photo and zoom in on my cleavage, posting it to the web within seconds. :( Even 30 years later, you guys are pigs. Oink LOL

I can't even pick one moment, the whole weekend was so much fun, I am still re-living it each day and remembering little bits and pieces.  The best part was re-connecting with a lot of long lost friends.

The reunion was fantastic.  I was amazed by how meaningful the whole thing seemed to be for so many people.  Such a cross-section of personalities and interests -- yet everyone was so welcoming.

One of our classmates observed that it was a lot easier for him talking with everyone this past weekend than when we were actually in High School together.

I can only imagine what the 35th and 40th reunions will be like.
